Saqib Malik LLB (Hons)
about

Mr Saqib Malik (Partner)
Mr Saqib Malik qualified as a solicitor in 2007. Although he undertook his training with an emphasis in residential property he took a liking to providing advice to private clients in all forms of trust and estate management. He has advanced knowledge in Will drafting including Islamic Wills and undertakes the administration of estates and probate work for the firm.

In his Property work he acts for a range of clients in the sale and purchase of residential properties. The type of transactions range from sale, purchase, and re-mortgage of residential properties to the more complex type of transaction including acting for a developer in the development of flats which were sold on the open market and acting for a group of clients who were Leaseholders in the acquisition of the Freehold title in light of enfranchisement legislation.

Mr Malik also undertakes extensive work in Islamic Finance which involves acting for purchasers who are buying their properties with Islamic Mortgages. This has involved many complex legal issues and the amount of documentation involved could leave clients scratching their heads in disbelief. However Mr Malik’s approach to client care and his face to face meetings with clients has enabled him to full report to clients on the contents of the documentation. This has been much appreciated by clients who initially thought the whole task would be far too daunting and overwhelming for them.

In his Probate and Estate Administration he has acted for individuals with simple estates and assisted in obtaining grants of representation or probate to the more complex administration of a large estate. Mr Malik also drafts Wills for clients ranging from simple Wills including mirror Wills to the more complex Discretionary Trust Wills and Islamic Shariah compliant Wills.  Mr Malik enjoys dealing in complex Estate administration as he has always liked a challenge and finds this area of law most interesting.

His excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with his strong community ties have helped him to increase the firms’ client base.

In his spare time Mr Malik likes to spend time with his family and continue his community work where he offers free legal advice to charitable organisations.
